Gaziantep Hamam Museum
This building just beside Gaziantep Castle served for centuries as the bath section of the külliye (social complex attached to a mosque) built by Lala Mustafa Paşa, and is one of the finest examples of Ottoman hamam architecture and culture.
According to its foundation deed of trust, it was built in 1577. After long years in operation as the Paşa Hamam, it was restored by the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, and its transformation into a museum bringing to life the hamam culture of Gaziantep was completed in 2015.
Displayed in the faithfully recreated hamam are the cold, tepid and hot sections; hamam utensils and bathing customs brought to life by waxwork figures and models.
